A flight to Mars could take many months with today's technology. This is enough time to acquire conditions that could require surgery. A problem that astronauts could face is that their medical tools could be floating around in microgravity. One solution to this is to use hook and loop fasteners, but hook and loop fasteners can wear out. My design contains 5 clips all attached to a board. The board is then slid into the base that has been fastened to a wall or table. It is used by attaching surgical tools to the clips on the board, then sliding the board into the base. This keeps the tools from floating around in microgravity. More bases can be printed and placed around the craft, so the tools can be secured in any room.
