During the three years in space, the astronauts are exposed to microgravity which causes their bones to get less dense. This means if they gently touch something their bone will break. NASA website says “NASA has learned that without gravity working on your body, your bones lose minerals, with density dropping at over 1% per month.” My model inserts Bisphosphonates into the astronaut’s arm when they put it in my machine. It is a tube wide enough to fit an arm with needles and a handle inside. The machine will be 6 in by 6 in. by 4 in. The machine will be made out of titanium.
